I promise that the three wines in our Fall Release aren’t named after me: Perfectionist, Overthinker and Problem Child.
Well, maybe a little. But these names are more about what’s in the bottle. Problem Child speaks to the fact that Zinfandel isn’t an easy grape to manage, but it always turns into something lovable. Overthinker is a wine that shows how seriously we take the art of blending. And Perfectionist is an ode to the ultimate taskmaster herself, Mother Nature—a blend aged in concrete to keep things simple and pure.
We have two vintages represented here, reflecting two completely different trips down memory lane. The 2022 harvest was marked by an early heat wave that had us running for shade, and the resulting wines are yummy and easy to love. In contrast, the 2023 growing season was cool and long, requiring a patience that paid off with wines of stellar balance and structure.
At the end of the day, nature always wins and we have to roll with the punches. But we like to have our say, too. It’s not just about what you get, it’s what you do with it. Each of these wines is a work of time and nature, shaped by hands that care. Let us know what
