Linne Calodo Spring Release

We are low key artisanal producers farming our own fruit, and that single detail makes us different than 90% of the competition. That is a strong hand of cards. Wine is not just a commodity here at Linne Calodo. It’s an EXPERIENCE.

We are not trying to crank up production and in fact we control the reigns. Our farming methodology is unique and represents sustainable, regenerative, and organic beliefs. These methods are applied to our estate vineyards, orchards, and gardens.

It is distinctive, non conformist, counter to the system, empowering, built out of learning by doing, created from the ground up. It’s a lifestyle choice for myself and everyone here at Linne Calodo.

2023 was a great harvest year and the wines taste amazing. I’m proud to present these wines and I hope you enjoy them, as much as we enjoy making them.

2023 Cherry Red

60% ZINFANDEL, 27% SYRAH, 13% MOURVEDRE

“Elmer and Mary Cherry planted their tiny head-trained, dry-farmed Zinfandel vineyard in 1977. I began farming and making wine from this vineyard on a handshake basis starting in 1998. The slopes are steep and tricky; the yields are ridiculously low; and the fruit is loaded with classic Paso Robles character. Working with the Cherry family for all of these years has been one of my greatest privileges as a winemaker.”

True to its name with bright cherry aromas accented by suggestions of pomegranate, sandalwood, anise and wild savory notes. Supple red and blue fruit flavors reveal hints of cola and white pepper spices. The finish is firm and electric with juicy acidity, sleek textures and persistent length.

2023 Sticks and Stones

80% GRENACHE, 11% SYRAH, 9% MOURVÈDRE

“Sticks and Stones is our ballad to Grenache, and to our mindset as a blending house. It’s the idea of taking the bright flavors and luscious acidity of our best Grenache barrels, then lengthening them out with complements of Syrah and Mourvèdre. It blurs the dividing line between a varietal wine and a showcase blend—essentially a Grenache done the Linne Calodo way.”

Aromas of raspberry, cherry, mulberry, coffee and vanilla cream. Mouth-filling, expansive and energetic with black and blue fruits augmented by accents of tobacco, cedar, tar and toasted oak. Powerful length with fine-grained structure and a generous release.

2023 Nemesis

84% SYRAH, 12% GRENACHE, 4% MOURVÈDRE

“When I first started Linne Calodo, people kept asking me why I didn’t make a stand-alone Syrah. I began to see this question as my nemesis. Why were varietal wines still considered superior to blends? Why underestimate the complementary power of Grenache and Mourvèdre? So I created this wine called Nemesis, which is ironically all about grapes getting along.”

Deep, dark brambly fruit aromas with notes of violets and vanilla. The palate is fresh, toasty and vibrant with boysenberry, black cherry, black fig, mineral and cured meat. Dense, seamless textures expand into a concentrated finish with notes of earth, baking chocolate and Provençale herbs.

BILLING: Club shipments will be billed & processed on Tuesday, February 24th.

SHIPMENTS: Club orders will ship on March 3rd (California) and March 9th (All other states).

SPECIAL ORDERS: Orders with additional bottles will ship ASAP as soon as they are received!

ANYTIME PICK UP: Available now through Sunday April 26th – Pick up orders unfulfilled by that date will be automatically shipped.
